Responsibilities
Lead electrical system design, upgrades, and commissioning
Manage capital projects from concept to commissioning up to $4MM range
Responsible for multiple 5 MCC lineups that capture 50 motors ranging in size from 3 hp to 125 hp. 480V power distribution design from transformer to motors
MCC experience through local disconnects including VFD’s
Responsible for establishing the motor list, PDC and related feeders (MCC feeders and utility panels), MCC motor/bucket arrangement, size of VFD’s and starters, MCC control components and E-net configuration
Direct designers/consultants to detail the drawings, including cable and conduit schedules, field configuration (conduit, tray, above ground, underground, and routing), as well as electrical room general arrangements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and top-tier leadership
Stay ahead of industry standards and innovations
Qualification
Required
BS in Electrical Engineering
At least 5 years in power distribution systems for wood products or similar heavy manufacturing
Deep knowledge of NFPA 70/70E, arc flash modeling, and system coordination
Strong project management and communication skills
Proficiency in EasyPower, ETAP, AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office
