2+ years expTalentsearchpro is seeking an Echocardiology Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the Cardiology Department. The role focuses on staff development, managing schedules, and ensuring high-quality patient care while serving as a technical expert in echocardiography.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily department operations in collaboration with the Manager of Cardiovascular Services/Nurse Manager
Lead recruitment, orientation, competency assessments, and performance reviews
Ensure adherence to quality improvement programs and clinical protocols
Serve as a technical resource for equipment, procedures, and staff training
Perform duties of a Registered Echocardiographer as needed
Qualification
Required
Completion of an AMA-accredited Echocardiography program (≥1 year)
National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) OR national certification from CCI or ARRT upon hire
BLS – American Heart Association
2 years recent full-time experience in echocardiography
1 year experience in an acute care hospital setting
Preferred
Associate's degree in a related healthcare field or equivalent credentials
Membership in a professional organization (SDMS, SVT, AIUM, ASE)
Recent supervisory or management experience
