Mid, Senior LevelTalentsearchpro is seeking a Plant Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at an industrial manufacturing company in Ayer. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient production while maintaining high standards of quality and environmental compliance.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations of the facility’s automated production systems and equipment
Direct and coordinate production activities to achieve output, quality, and safety goals
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
Work with environmental and safety consultants to maintain full regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEP, etc.)
Lead, coach, and schedule facility staff to maximize productivity and maintain a safe, organized work environment
Analyze production and performance data to identify process improvements using LEAN concepts
Ensure readiness of the facility to accept materials and deliver quality products on time
Manage special projects that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and profitability
Qualification
Required
Candidates should come from industries such as recycling, aggregate, quarries, oil and gas, paper and pulp, or other industrial and highly physical environments
Hands-on leadership experience in overseeing daily operations in an industrial manufacturing company
Experience managing automated production systems and equipment
Ability to direct and coordinate production activities to achieve output, quality, and safety goals
Experience overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations (OSHA, DEP, etc.) and experience working with consultants to maintain compliance
Experience in leading, coaching, and scheduling facility staff to maximize productivity and maintain a safe work environment
Ability to analyze production and performance data to identify process improvements using LEAN concepts
Experience ensuring readiness of the facility to accept materials and deliver quality products on time
Experience managing special projects that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and profitability
