Distribution Center - Operations Manager - Third Shift

The Operations Manager will provide leadership and management to ensure operational and financial goals are met while overseeing the distribution center's functions during the third shift.

Responsibilities

Managing the timely and accurate processing of customer orders, including picking, packing, and shipping

Complies with federal, state and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements by enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

Safeguards warehouse operation and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols

Oversee the organization and maintenance of outbound inventory, ensuring accuracy and availability

Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement

Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results

Manages warehouse staff by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results

Ability to interact and build strong relationships with internal and external customers

Excellent organizing, prioritizing, multi-tasking, product management and problem-solving skills with a strong sense of urgency

Analytical reporting skills

Ability to effectively manage changing and sometimes spiking volumes

Ability to meet strict time frames in environments with zero tolerance for failure

Required

A minimum of 3-4 years distribution management experience at manager level (Inbound/Outbound)

Proven track record of the ability to mentor and develop supervisors

Knowledge of 5S

Ability to effectively manage changing and sometimes spiking volumes
