They are seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to join their Westchester Property Claims Unit, responsible for servicing first-party property claims and ensuring effective communication and timely disposition of claims.

Responsibilities
Service first-party property claims throughout the United States
Utilizing Independent Adjusters to determine cause of loss, coverage provided under the policy, and scope and repair value of damage
Promptly contacting clients
Promptly and properly developing the claims file to provide accurate and timely investigation and loss analysis
Maintaining an active diary
Monitoring a diary claims system to achieve timely development of file and timely disposition of the claim
Recognizing and pursuing recovery where possible
Adhering to all statutory regulations and unfair claim practices act
Establishing accurate and timely reserves
Effectively communicating with all internal and external customers
Proper evaluation of coverage and valuation of claim settlements
Appropriate use of experts
Ensuring the adequacy of reserves
Providing high level of customer service
Delivering quality claim results
Qualification
Required
Experience in claims adjusting, specifically in property claims
Ability to service first-party property claims throughout the United States
Experience utilizing Independent Adjusters to determine cause of loss, coverage provided under the policy, and scope and repair value of damage
Strong communication skills for effectively communicating with all internal and external customers
Ability to develop claims files accurately and timely
Experience in maintaining an active diary and monitoring a diary claims system
Knowledge of statutory regulations and unfair claim practices act
Ability to establish accurate and timely reserves
Strong customer service skills
Experience in evaluating coverage and valuation of claim settlements
Ability to appropriately use experts in the claims process
