Responsibilities

Execute multiple advanced repair development projects, advancing a variety of technologies through feasibility, business case assessment, process development, process qualification, and industrialization into repair facilities for new and updated processes
Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Maintains an awareness of the latest technical developments in multiple technology spaces
Use experience and good judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in the area of technology responsibility. Leverage an internal and external network to analyze problems and arrive at decisions
Develop working knowledge of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Achieves in-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years of Aerospace engineering/technology development experience
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))

Preferred

Prior experience and knowledge of the GE Aerospace Advanced Repair RRL process
Experience and expertise in developing advanced coating technologies, machining processes, welding & additive processes, or composites
Prior experience industrializing new technology into a repair shop or manufacturing environment
Strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated track record of successfully working collaboratively in a cross functional team to deliver technical results
