Lead Systems Engineer (Level 5)

Responsibilities
Lead a team of Systems Engineers in the development and delivery of a high-TRL mobile RF antenna system
Define the Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for the RF antenna system
Design system architectures and interfaces, ensuring alignment across subsystems and program requirements
Perform systems analysis and design, including system sizing, requirements definition, and modeling
Drive the implementation of command and control, signal, and data processing chains
Develop and deliver a digital twin using Cameo and MBSE tools
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deploy system capabilities to offsite locations
Execute system integration and test activities to ensure requirements are verified and validated
Ensure system and subsystem readiness for design reviews and test events
Work with subcontractor teams to ensure timely deliveries that meet technical requirements
Perform Control Account Management (CAM) responsibilities
Manage and plan team activities within an Agile framework, ensuring alignment with program objectives and timelines
Qualification
Required

This position is based in Littleton, Colorado
To be considered, applicants must be U.S. citizens and hold an active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
This position is contingent upon contract award to Lockheed Martin. Estimated award date is currently January 2026. Any job offers extended to chosen candidates will include a contingency clause stating that the offer is dependent on Lockheed Martin securing the contract
Preferred
Master's degree or higher in a relevant technical or engineering field
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and suppliers to derive, decompose, and verify system requirements
Experience developing system architectures and applying digital or model-based engineering approaches
Expertise in digital signal processing (DSP) and algorithm development
Prior experience in the defense industry or related high-technology field
Hands-on experience in system integration and test activities
Control Account Manager (CAM) experience, with CAM certification preferred
Knowledge and application of Agile methodologies in technical programs
Experience supporting research and development proposals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts
