Talentsearchpro is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement function for their agricultural equipment manufacturing operations. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing quality components, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-effectiveness to meet production schedules.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives

Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, mechanical components, fabrication services, and outsourced assemblies specific to ag equipment

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve best value while maintaining quality and delivery standards

Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure purchased components meet technical specifications

Maintain accurate inventory levels in coordination with production needs and forecasts

Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and develop corrective action plans

Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, and process improvements

Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements

Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing activities, purchase orders, and inventory transactions

Prepare regular reports on key performance metrics, including cost, quality, and on-time delivery
