Responsibilities

Assist executive leadership, directors, and business manager in business or fiscal administration for the departments
Provide support in the processing, documentation and monitoring of unit budgets, funding, reimbursements, contracts, purchase orders, payroll, travel, billing and/or purchasing
May independently or under the guidance of campus finance professionals establish internal accounts and recordkeeping systems and establish needed accounting support via campus-wide information systems
Oversee and/or perform a range of administrative activities for the department and serve as a central liaison with other departments in the resolution of a variety of day-to-day matters concerning the units
Coordinate the documentation and processing of routine payroll actions in accordance with university policy
Assist in the processing of employment matters including job postings, offer letters, termination letters, etc. in coordination with HR team
Assist in quarterly utilization reports and complete routine data entry assignments
Serve as a source of general information for staff and the department
Assist in coordinating other tasks related to department mission
Other duties as assigned

Required

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

Previous experience in academic setting preferably at a school district, 4-Year University or Community College
