IO Clinical Specialist - Northeast

The Clinical Specialist - Interventional Oncology (IO) is responsible for supporting the adoption and optimal use of oncology-focused products, providing procedural support and education to healthcare professionals engaged in minimally invasive cancer therapies.

Responsibilities
Deliver hands-on technical and clinical support during Interventional Oncology procedures including radiofrequency ablation (RFA), microwave ablation (MWA), embolization therapies, and image-guided biopsies
Conduct product in-servicing, physician education, and staff training to ensure safe, effective, and confident use of IO technologies in clinical practice
Lead product trials and evaluations, coordinating logistics and providing real-time procedural support and feedback to both sales and clinical teams
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key clinical stakeholders such as interventional radiologists, medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiology technologists, and oncology care teams
Collaborate with Territory Managers and Regional Sales Managers to develop and execute territory strategies, support complex cases, and identify growth opportunities in IO treatment programs
Oversee consignment and trunk stock to ensure availability of IO products for scheduled and emergent procedures, maximizing efficiency and usage
Coordinate with academic and cancer centers to support resident and fellow education programs with Argon’s IO products
Act as a clinical liaison to internal departments such as Marketing, Training, R&D, Medical Affairs, and National Accounts to enhance product performance and market presence
Present clinical data, case studies, and relevant literature to support the clinical value proposition of Argon’s IO technologies in both procedural and administrative settings
Help shape and maintain clinical best practices and training materials specific to oncology procedures, driving continuous improvement across the field team

Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or a related clinical field
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in Interventional Radiology, Oncology, Cath Lab, or Surgical Oncology environments, with direct exposure to ablation, embolization, or biopsy procedures
Deep understanding of Interventional Oncology clinical workflows, indications, and oncology care coordination
Strong communication skills to effectively educate diverse stakeholders in high-stakes, patient-centered environments
Ability to anticipate procedural needs and respond dynamically in real-time clinical settings
Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage priorities across multiple accounts and regions
Independent, proactive mindset with a passion for improving patient outcomes through minimally invasive care
Compliance-focused with working knowledge of clinical standards, healthcare regulations, and credentialing requirements
