Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive eye exams for geriatric and long-term care patients
Screen for and manage common ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
Prescribe corrective lenses and oversee follow-up care
Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on vision health and preventive care
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure high-quality, ethical care
Partner with facility staff to support seamless patient scheduling and care flow
Qualification
Required
Doctor of Optometry (OD)
Active North Carolina Optometry License
Excellent communication and rapport-building skills
Ability to work independently in a mobile care setting
Preferred
Experience with geriatric or mobile care
