Responsibilities

Serve as the primary administrator for Epicor Prophet 21, managing user security, role-based access, and system settings
Manage P21 application environments (Smart Client and Web Client), including coordination of upgrades, patches, and service pack installations
Utilize DynaChange Rules and Screen Designer to customize the user interface and logic to fit business requirements
Manage environments including Development (Dev), Testing (Test), and Production (Prod), ensuring smooth promotion of code and configurations
Manage Microsoft SQL Server specifically for P21, including writing complex queries, views, and stored procedures to extract data
Develop and maintain reports using Crystal Reports, SSRS, and Power BI, ensuring accurate financial and inventory data representation
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot locking or latency issues within the ERP
Build, configure, and maintain the P21 API for system integrations (e.g., connecting P21 to e-commerce platforms, shipping software, or CRM tools)
Read, interpret, and configure workflows using XML and JSON for data interchange
Manage ODS (Operational Data Store) connectors and ensure accurate data synchronization between P21 and third-party tools
Administer and support Azure environments hosting application resources
Work with Windows Server environments to support the P21 middleware and database servers
Analyze business processes (Order Entry, Inventory, Purchasing) and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency within the ERP
Troubleshoot and resolve application errors, acting as the Tier 2/3 support for internal P21 issues
Create comprehensive documentation for P21 configurations, DynaChange rules, and custom integrations

Required

Demonstrated experience administering Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) is required
Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, with the ability to write complex T-SQL queries and perform performance tuning
Experience with DynaChange Business Rules, Screen Designers, and UD (User Defined) tables
Proficiency in reporting tools, specifically Crystal Reports and Power BI
Experience with P21 API configuration and general API concepts (REST/SOAP, JSON, XML)
Experience with Azure administration and Windows Server management

Preferred

Background in distribution or manufacturing environments
Experience integrating P21 with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, BigCommerce) or shipping solutions (e.g., WorldShip, ShipStation)
Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as Autotask, ServiceNow, or ConnectWise
