Family Justice Center Executive Director

Responsibilities
Provide daily operational oversight of the Family Justice Center
Provide strategic leadership to guide policy development, strengthen cross-agency coordination, and ensure effective, efficient, and impactful service delivery to victims and survivors
Lead a team of FJC staff and provide oversight of intake of clients, including danger assessment and safety and service planning
Develop and sustain strong partnerships with on- and off-site agencies, including creating, revising, and maintaining interagency MOUs
Establish and implement operational policies and procedures aligned with the FJC mission, vision, values, and national best practices
Build and enhance relationships with community stakeholders to support the continued growth, stability, and long-term sustainability of the FJC
Oversee the intake functions of the FJC as well as the case management system
Lead grant writing and fundraising efforts, including securing local, state, federal, and private funding to support center operations and expansion
Participate in multidisciplinary community, agency, and law enforcement groups—such as Domestic Violence High Risk Teams—to improve services and interventions for survivors
Oversee, coordinate and facilitate FJC service-provider partnerships and serve as liaison to the FJC Steering Committee and the District Attorney’s Office to support clear communication and resolution of operational challenges
Identify barriers to effective service delivery and collaborate with partners to develop solutions that improve survivor services and outcomes
Supervise assigned staff and volunteers, oversee daily operations, and cultivate a trauma-informed and collaborative work environment
Provide regular communication to the District Attorney and other supervisors regarding the FJC; prepare reports to the District Attorney and others as directed on the work of the FJC, including data on FJC use and anecdotes on FJC success stories
Ensure accurate collection and analysis of program data to measure outcomes and meet funding, reporting, and accountability requirements
Oversee ongoing collection of survivor feedback to drive continuous improvement of services and supports
Represent the FJC at community events, outreach efforts, and engagement activities to strengthen visibility and connection to diverse survivor populations
Collaborate with other Family Justice Centers, the National FJC Alliance, and sector leaders to implement best practices for the FJC
Work with the COO/Office Administrator and Administrative Finance Assistant to develop the annual FJC budget
Partner with leaders, officials and budget analysts from Adams County, Broomfield County, and municipal governments to manage budgetary and funding matters related to the FJC and FJC projects
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's or master's degree in social work, counseling, criminal justice, public policy, public health, or a related field
A minimum of five years of experience working within the criminal justice system and/or the victim services field, including direct experience serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and/or elder abuse
A minimum of five years (or demonstrated equivalent) of supervisory and leadership experience
Demonstrated experience in operational management, policy development, grant writing, community outreach, and/or direct services
Experience leading fundraising initiatives, including cultivating and engaging donors
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with trauma-informed practices related to domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, human trafficking, and sexual assault
Understanding and familiarity with Colorado's Victims' Rights Act (VRA) and working familiarity with trauma-informed approaches and laws governing domestic violence, child abuse, and elder abuse
Employees of the DA's Office must be able to work onsite
