Responsibilities
Maintain electrical wiring system and components in accordance with the provisions of the National Electrical Code and Industry Standards
Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures to identify equipment and/or systems for repair
Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders to provide information for making decisions
Inspect electrical systems and their components to evaluate their condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance actions
Operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely; assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical apparatuses; make rough sketches; estimate cost, time, and materials of electrical work
Inspect, troubleshoot, isolate, and repair electrical malfunctions using various test instruments
Maintain, test, and repair electrical equipment for safety and efficiency; plan the layout and wiring of new or existing installations
Fabricate electrical parts; inspect completed work to conform with specifications, requirements, and compliance with applicable exterior and interior safety codes and regulations
Inspect related work performed by contractors; estimate cost, time, and materials for electrical projects; participate in the maintenance and operations of an electrical shop
Clean, maintain, and service tools and equipment used while performing duties
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical load centers and distribution systems
Analyze electrical plant operational characteristics, recommend deficiency corrections, and respond safely and appropriately to emergencies
Qualification
Required
Licensed Master Electrician with extensive field experience
Strong understanding of NEC and local codes
Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
High standards for safety, quality, and professionalism
Ability to oversee complex installations and inspections
High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent
Minimum 2 years of field electrical experience performing preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial electrical components
Minimum 2 years of field experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical components, including 480 VAC 3-phase systems
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S
Preferred
Experienced in and/or knowledgeable of traffic monitoring and control systems
Flexible schedule (relates to a 24/7/365 operating environment)
Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License
