Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications
Christ Church Episcopal School (CCES) is seeking a Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications (SMAC) to serve as a key leader in shaping how the school shares its story and connects with its community. Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations strategy, the Director advances the school’s mission, elevates its visibility, and strengthens its reputation.

Responsibilities
Designs the school’s advertising plan, both print and digital, and executes all related contracts
Writes strategic-based copy and content for marketing materials that supports the school’s mission, vision and values
Oversees the design and production of print collateral, online and digital content including but not limited to advertisements, banners, flyers, postcards, campus signage, and e-blasts
Generates story ideas, writes news stories, and creates compelling content for the school’s website, newsletters, and social media platforms
Leads media relations and communications efforts, including writing press releases and advisories, managing crisis communications, and overseeing community relations outreach
Maintains the identity of the school by overseeing approvals and adherence to brand standards and style guide
Collaborates with the Offices of Admission and Advancement to ensure all marketing and communications materials reflect the school’s mission and story
Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, using data and feedback to adjust strategies and improve results
Participates in regular Marketing and Admission meetings, attends other meetings, on/off-campus events, and maintains interaction with the day-to-day life of the school
Manages special projects, events, and programs that support strategic marketing and communication goals
Provides creative guidance for branding, campus remodeling, and design-related projects
Manage all communications related to Build for the Future campus expansion project
Manage relationships with community partners
Develops and manages the SMAC budget
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field
At least five years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or public relations
Strong understanding of marketing, branding, communications, and social media strategies
Demonstrated creativity in developing fresh, engaging concepts that bring the school's story to life across multiple platforms
Strong sense of visual storytelling and design aesthetics to ensure communications are both effective and appealing
Proven ability to plan strategically and execute initiatives that align marketing and communications efforts with institutional goals
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with attention to accuracy, tone, and brand alignment
Strong leadership and team management skills to guide and motivate staff
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate across all levels of the school community
Proficiency with marketing tools and platforms such as Canva and Asana
Preferred
