St. Clair County Community College is seeking an Instructor for Engineering Technology for the Fall 2026 Semester. The role involves teaching undergraduate courses in Advanced Manufacturing, covering topics such as electronics, industrial electronics, and robotic welding, along with maintaining office hours and developing curriculum.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, and/or online courses
Maintaining scheduled office hours, advising students, developing curriculum, participating in college service, and professional development activities
Leadership in developing and improving our academic courses
Community service is encouraged

Qualification

Engineering degreeMechanical engineering experience3D CAD softwareCNC programmingTeaching experienceElectronics knowledgeRobotics understandingMultimedia technologyLearning Management SystemsRelationships

Required

Associate's degree or higher required in Engineering or a related Engineering field
4,000 hours of work experience in mechanical engineering, engineering design, industrial technology, and/or the advanced manufacturing field
All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university
Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred
Teaching experience at the community college level
Experience and/or interest in using multimedia/new instructional technology in the classroom
Experience with various 3D CAD software applications
Experience with programming and operating CNC machinery and related software
Understanding various types of welding and fabrication processes
Understanding of electronics and related equipment
Understanding of mechatronic and robotic equipment
Experience and interest in utilizing Learning Management Systems for course enhancement or delivery
