Finance Manager, Amazon Leo
Amazon is seeking an entrepreneurial minded Finance Manager for its low Earth orbit satellite network, Amazon Leo. The role involves forecasting, analyzing, and reporting on AWS and data infrastructure needs while collaborating with various stakeholders to drive financial efficiencies and manage costs effectively.

Responsibilities
Finance subject matter expert of Leo cloud computing consumption
Develop strong working relationships with AWS Infrastructure and Services teams, and Leo business partners
Work across Leo to identify, quantify and forecast AWS usage (IMR) and Leo specific AWS infrastructure costs (Capex) that support Kuiper on a global scale
Build complex financial models that estimate Leo cloud computing costs and requirements in support of negotiations with AWS and B2B prospective customers. Partner with key Leo business partners to assess and bring creative ideas to reduce cloud computing costs
Develop and implement metrics to monitor, report and evaluate forecasts and actual usage (AWS, external) and capex investments including recommendations to business leadership to drive efficiencies and spending improvements
Develop and deliver accurate Operating Plans and Guidance R&Os and bring creative ideas to drive out costs
Demonstrate an ability to manage competing priorities, work in an ambiguous business unit, and provide operations and investment guidance to the business partners based on data analysis
Uses active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjusts style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly
Qualification
Required
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
Preferred
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
