Oracle Report Writer (Programmer-Analyst II)
Anne Arundel County Office of Personnel is seeking a skilled Report Writer for an Oracle Cloud ERP implementation focusing on budget, purchasing, and finance modules. The ideal candidate will design and maintain reports, collaborate with users to gather requirements, and ensure data integrity.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain reports for various business needs related to budget, purchasing, and finance
Develop custom reports and optimize existing reports within Oracle Report Writer for the Oracle Cloud ERP system
Collaborate with business users and subject matter experts to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reported data
Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues
Document report specifications, data sources, and report logic
Provide training and support to end-users on report usage
Stay up-to-date with new features and functionalities of QuickSight and Oracle Cloud ERP reporting tools
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Report Writer within an Oracle ERP implementation
Experience with SQL databases and SQL queries
Able to work with customers to gather requirements and to provide solutions that meet those requirements
Proficiency in data visualization, dashboard creation, and data source integration
Experience with Oracle Report Writer for Oracle Cloud ERP, with a focus on budget, purchasing, and finance modules
Solid understanding of financial processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and procurement
Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective reporting solutions
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree, including or supplemented by courses in electronic computer programming, system analysis, and operating systems; and four (4) years of experience in the field of electronic computer programming
This position requires a full background check
This is a hybrid position requiring at least two (2) days on-site in the office
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
Four (4) or more years of job experience as an Oracle Report Writer, preferably within a large-scale ERP implementation
Certification in Oracle Cloud ERP reporting
Experience with Oracle BI Publisher reports and FRS (Financial Reporting Studio)
Familiarity with Local Government
The Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis with four (4) or more years of work experience as an Oracle Report Writer. Experience must still be supplemented by courses in electronic computer programming, system analysis, and operating systems
The County does not pay for relocation expenses
The posted salary represents the full proficiency. Starting salary will be based on experience and education; however, new hires will generally not go above the mid-range of the posted salary range
Accredited University or College is the recognition from an accrediting agency that an institution maintains a certain level of educational standards. The U.S. Department of Education maintains a database of accrediting agencies it recognizes for schools within the United States. For a University or College outside the United States, the applicant must provide documentation of accreditation and educational equivalency, which can be accomplished through a credential evaluation service.
