Quality Assurance Administrator-Junior

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains the management systems based on company strategic goals/milestones and demonstrates solid progress against the plan
Manages all external registration requirements to ensure they are met
Acts as a liaison with external bodies on all matters relating to registration
Maintains and improves in line with business needs
Implements all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS)
Ensures that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of internal processes and external certification bodies
Updates quality documentation and communicates to carry forward lessons learned from quality concerns
Ensures that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all company and customer requirements and audits
Introduces new systems and procedures appropriately based on direction of senior management
Trains others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures
Conducts regular internal and process audits of the QMS
Ensures corrective actions are undertaken to address non-conformities found
Verifies closure of non-conformities with Certification Bodies
Holds routine management review meetings within the business and with Certification Bodies
Manages the audit nonconformity database
Provides detailed analysis of nonconformities
Ensures ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System as all scoped standards require
Attends various meetings and actions/communicates instructions
Produces written reports and makes presentations
Undertakes continuous training and development
Identifies business improvement opportunities within the organization
Develops, implements and manages key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility
Sets department objectives/KPis and reviews/assesses ongoing performance of direct reports
Ensures KPls are met by working to the overall plan, including management of, and reporting
Reports on achievement of targets and identifies any actions required
Conducts risk assessments of processes and tasks
Motivates and coaches the team to operational success
Promotes high standards through personal example
Ensures each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them
Reviews, implements and updates performance reviews and risk assessments
Communicates KPis from the strategic annual plan to leadership

Required

AS Degree in Quality Management, Business Administration or related field OR 4 years of additional work experience (6 years total) in quality assurance, compliance, or quality systems management in a DoD or defense contractor environment
2 years of relevant work experience
The ability to analyze data, generate reports and present findings to executive leadership/DoD stakeholders
Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100 Rev D standards
Experience with DoD contract quality requirements (MIL-STD-1916, DFARS, DCMA 8210, etc.)
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action systems (RCCA/CAPA)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Quality Management tools (SharePoint, QMS software, etc.)
Experience managing or leading external audits and internal compliance programs
U.S. Citizenship (required due to AMEWAS contractual requirements)
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Preferred

Experience with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171 or cybersecurity compliance frameworks
Experience supporting multi-site or enterprise-level quality systems
Certified Auditor/Lead auditor (ISO9001)
CMMI Appraisal Team Member or equivalent credential
Prior experience with CMMC, CMMI or ISO9001
Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle and quality assurance
