Structural Designer
Merrick & Company is seeking a mid-level Structural Designer to work on a variety of projects primarily in the industrial oil & gas, power plant, and biofuel sectors, as well as for the Department of Defense and Department of Energy. The role requires competency in 3D modeling and the production of structural plans and details using AutoCAD software.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate competentcy in 3-dimensional (3D) modeling of steel structures, foundations and equipment using AutoCAD based software
Produce structural plans, elevations, sections, and details for steel and concrete structures
3-dimensional (3D) modeling using AutoCAD
2-dimensional (2D) building layouts and detailing using AutoCAD
Read plans, pick up redlined drawings and notes
Qualification
Required
Minimum four (4) years of experience as a structural designer / drafter
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Practical experience using AutoCAD and Revit BIM software
Must be familiar with commonly used structural steel detailing, foundation detailing, sheet layouts and plan reading
Experience with CAD design of steel and concrete structures and foundations
High School Diploma / GED
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred
Proficiency with Autodesk Revit Structural
Associate's degree in related field of study
Experience with Advance Steel
Local candidates strongly preferred
