Development Engineering Technician, Electrochemistry
Redwood Materials is localizing a global battery supply chain focused on recovery, reuse, and recycling. They are seeking a Development Engineering Technician, Electrochemistry to run and execute experiments that will aid in developing new equipment and products.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain lab equipment
Prepare solutions and conduct wet-chemistry bench experiments
Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques
Perform chemical analyses, optical measurements, and mechanical tests
Run and monitor experiments in high volume manufacturing
Support the development of new metrology systems and prove their capabilities
Qualification
Required
Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field
Demonstrated basic knowledge of math, chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment
Mechanical design and fabrication experience
Hands on experience building complex mechanical systems
Laboratory experience in wet-chemistry and bench top experiments
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Strong written and verbal communication
Organization and documentation skills
Strong ability to follow detailed technical instructions and operating procedures
Experience troubleshooting experiments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
Must be able to work hands on in the lab, including standing and operating equipment at a lab bench
Able to work in laboratory and factory environment for extended periods
Able to lift up to 30lbs
