Responsibilities

Perform pipe spool welding for high-pressure, high-temperature applications following industry and company standards
Precision TIG welding on Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Aluminum
Fabricate components for prototypes, test rigs, fixtures, and assemblies used in R&D programs
Read and interpret technical weldment drawing
Participate in rapid prototyping to support proof-of-concept and early-stage product development
Work closely with engineers to iterate designs and provide manufacturability feedback
Assist in building and assembling test systems for performance evaluation
Install mechanical hardware such as bolts, fittings, valves, instrumentation, and support brackets
Assist with general shop tasks including material preparation, equipment setup, and workspace organization
Support equipment maintenance and safe shop operations

Required

7+ years of experience of welding or fabrication experience, including but not limited to Pressure Vessel/Piping, Chemical Processing, Aerospace, or Automotive
Strong proficiency in TIG welding, particularly stainless steel and nickel-based alloys (e.g., Inconel)
Welding Certifications including but not limited to: AWS D1.1, 6G Pipe Welding Certification, AWS D17.1, API 1104, AWS D1.6
Experience welding to high-pressure, high-temperature code or near-code requirements
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on assembly and technician experience
Commitment to safety, precision, and producing high-quality work
Excellent communication skills

Preferred

Experience with ASME Section IX, Section VIII, or pressure piping fabrication
Prior work in energy, chemical processing, R&D labs, or advanced manufacturing
Experience with basic machining, grinding, cutting, or other metalworking skills
Familiarity with prototyping and iterative development environments
Experience with Project Management Software (e.g. Confluence, Notion, Jira, Trello)
Operate CNC mills, manual mills, and lathes
