This role involves installing and calibrating overhead doors and electric garage door openers, fabricating custom doors, and ensuring safety and functionality throughout all job duties.

Responsibilities
Installs, calibrates, and adjusts electric garage door openers to ensure optimal performance
Maintains accurate installation data by diligently and promptly using all installation documentation and technical data
Operates in a safety-conscious manner at all times while performing job duties, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines
Sets overhead doors in place and verifies proper functioning post-installation
Fabricates doors for custom openings based on specifications and requirements
Removes defective doors or openers and replaces them with new systems, including openers, springs, and brackets
Operates lifts, winches, and other equipment safely to carry out installations and repairs
Inspects job sites and adjusts doors to ensure proper door clearance and functionality
Uses welding equipment, fasteners, and shaping machines to hang back hangers, install tracks, and fabricate custom doors and parts
Projects a professional image through competent service procedures, maintaining professional personal presentation, and effective communication with all customers
Qualification
Required
Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license or ability to obtain required
Ability to lift and move heavy objects weighing up to 100 pounds
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating machinery and tools
Ability to work in a noisy and sometimes dusty environment typical of metal fabrication shops
Physical capability to bend, stoop, kneel, and perform tasks that may require reaching overhead or working in confined spaces
Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for safety reasons
Some days, travel to and from job sites is required
Preferred
Experience with electrical wiring and welding preferred
