The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist located in Suitland, MD. The role involves conducting research, analysis, and liaison work with other intelligence and law enforcement agencies, while leading teams to fulfill the agency's mission.

Responsibilities
Guiding, assisting, and leading teams of specialists in conducting special studies, exploring program initiatives, improving liaison mechanisms, and defining cooperative efforts that affect ICC's mission and its interactions with its partners and customers
Planning and implementing a process to develop, document, assess, and validate intelligence gaps and requirements, and solutions for those requirements
Supervising detailed analysis and production of complex written reports and high-level intelligence briefings and utilizing subordinate functional area subject matter expertise to address standing and emerging issues of interest to CG leaders and decision-makers
Evaluating the validity, accuracy, and reliability of information received from a wide variety of sources to assess importance to foreign policy and CG operational and strategic interests in a broad assignment area
Planning, developing, organizing, and conducting special research studies providing comprehensive assessments of broad, exceptionally complex, or highly sensitive issues
Preparing a wide range of analytic products to clearly, concisely, and coherently characterizing the policy significance and implications of the issues and developments
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required
This position requires a Top-Secret clearance
Selectee must provide a valid state driver's license and safe driving record
Time in Grade requirement must be met by the closing date of the vacancy
To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector
Specialized experience must include performing analysis and production tasks related to assigned area(s) in political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographic, technical or military conditions for one or more foreign countries
Specialized experience must include performing analysis and production tasks related to strategic competition, including the persistent and long-term interactions between relevant foreign actors pursuing their interests across the competition continuum
Specialized experience must include analyzing the validity, accuracy, and reliability of information received from a wide variety of sources
Specialized experience must include preparing written contributions to interagency intelligence assessments, preparing and advocating agency position on controversial or disputed issues
Specialized experience must include identifying intelligence gaps, proposing collection requirements to fill gaps, and developing analytical tools and methodologies to cope with the gaps
Specialized experience must include liaising with internal and external stakeholders to appropriately address their intelligence needs and ensure that their requirements are met
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
