Responsibilities

Facilitates and guides a software development product owner, team, and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum concepts, values, practices, and principles focusing on improving team effectiveness
Encourages getting work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
Facilitates discussions and decision making, and assists in mediation of conflict resolution
Leads the team and guides them on how to get the most out of self organization
Gives support using a servant leadership style whenever possible, leads by example, and demonstrates value-add principles
Assesses the Scrum maturity of the team and organization, and coaches them to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgment, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving
Responds to and removes or finds others to remove any reported impediments that obstruct a development team's pursuit of its goals, such as do what is necessary to ensure down computers are back up quickly and keep the developers comfortable
Notices differences and issues as they arise, and elevates them to management
Makes tough calls, being a voice of reason and authority, ensuring Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to
Works, collaborates, and communicates effectively, internally and externally, improving transparency and sharing information
Organizes and facilitates meetings, including preparing, moderating, and post processing
Helps with product release planning and enforces deadlines
Supports and educates the product owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog and release plan
Improves personal skills, continually learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself as well as help improve the team

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Ten (10) years of prior experience in a similar role
DoD 8570 Level II/II certification required
Active Security Clearance Required
