Required

CANDIDATE MUST BE IN THE AGENCY ATTORNEY CIVIL SERVICE TITLE WITH A NEW YORK CITY AGENCY
Admission to the New York State Bar
One year of satisfactory United States legal experience subsequent to admission to any state bar
Six months of satisfactory service as an Agency Attorney Interne (30086)
Incumbents must remain Members of the New York State Bar in good standing for the duration of this employment
To be assigned to Assignment Level (AL) II, candidates must have one year of experience at Assignment Level I or two years of comparable legal experience subsequent to admission to the bar, in the areas of law related to the assignment
To be assigned to AL III candidates must have two years of experience in Assignment Levels I and/or II or three years of comparable legal experience subsequent to admission to the bar, in the areas of law related to the assignment

Preferred

Hearing and trial experience in a District Attorney's Office or its equivalent is a plus
Must have legal research and writing experience
Candidates possessing strong policy and analytical skills
Excellent cognitive reasoning and investigative abilities
Thorough knowledge of legal strategies and methodologies
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and meet time sensitive assignments
Experience in interviewing witnesses, evaluating case investigations and conducting trials/hearings preferred
