Load Rating Engineer

They are seeking a Load Rating Engineer to join their New York City team, responsible for performing load rating calculations and managing load rating reports for bridge inspections.
Mechanical Or Industrial Engineering
Responsibilities
Load Rating Engineer on major projects
Perform Level 1 and Level 2 load rating calculations pertaining to and in support of bridge inspection findings
Work closely with a team to manage load rating reports
Occasional field site visits
Provide mentoring and training to junior staff
Qualification
Required
BS in Civil Engineering
PE License required (in NY)
Completed a FHWA approved comprehensive bridge inspection training course (i.e., the National Highway Institute “Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges”)
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage small groups and projects
Experience with 3D Finite Element Analysis software (such as CSiBridge, SAP2000)
Must be detail and goal-oriented, a self-starter, and proficient in both verbal and written communications
Preferred
Five+ years of Structural Engineering experience with a focus on bridge design and inspection/load ratings
Experience with AASHTOWare load rating software
Experience with local client base preferable (NYSDOT)
