Responsibilities

Inspect conventional and complex bridges, culverts, and structures in Ohio and nationwide

Document and report bridge conditions for routine or in-depth bridge inspection assignments using tablets and cameras

Learn and/or develop skills to advance your knowledge of the industry based on the Specifications for the National Bridge Inventory (SNBI)

Write reports and perform analysis/load ratings of bridges and culverts working with DOT’s, counties and/or municipalities to assess bridge infrastructure

Work with DOT’s, counties and/or municipalities to assess bridge infrastructure

Prepare drawings in MicroStation or AutoCAD to assist with recommendations to clients for rehabilitation or preventative measures

Required

Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program in civil, structural or equivalent engineering

Passed the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) Exam

Ability and desire to climb large bridge structures, able to withstand high levels of physical exertion including walking, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 60 lbs. of equipment

Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 40%) throughout the U.S

A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history is required

Microsoft Office proficiency is required

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
