Responsibilities
Supporting Business Development and Network Strategy on service provider partnerships
Supporting Network Strategy in negotiating transit, peering, and colocation deals for Akamai
Troubleshooting and enhancing the Akamai Mapping System
Performing Network Security Awareness and managing Akamai's Peering and Interconnection Strategy
Optimizing Performance and Cost working with Partners and Vendors
Training internal teams and creating technical documentation and being a technical escalation point for other departments
Qualification
Required
Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or its equivalent
Have deep experience with internet routing and peering, content Distribution Networks and global DNS system
Possess extensive knowledge of general Internet network operations on a global scale and network diagnostics tools
Demonstrate experience in Router in a multinational backbone and in-depth knowledge of common routing protocols
Demonstrate experience in representing and participating in Internet networking and other conferences as required
Have good contract negotiation or equivalent experience
