Responsibilities
Performs all types of cable construction and maintenance work associated with all network facilities including repairs on conduit and manholes, cross-connections to switching equipment, removing and replacing line cards in central office/pair gain units
Performs all duties associated with the installation, removals, rearrangements and maintenance of coin and single line station equipment and associated apparatus
Performs installation, removal, rearrangement, maintenance and substitution on pair gain devices (e.g., Subscriber Carrier)
Performs all duties associated with former title CZT III
Recognizes and pursues potential revenue producing opportunities
May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company
Qualification
Required
Tests – Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company, in accordance with Company policy
Previous electronics training and/or related 'outside' work experience typically gained through such positions as Station Installer Maintainer, Installer Maintainer, or Cable Splicer
Ability to work independently and desire to work 'face-to-face' with customer
Willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Climbing poles and ladders; lifting 50-75 pounds on a regular basis; pushing, reaching, bending and stooping; manual dexterity; good sense of balance; and good color vision
Per our Company policy, and consistent with the weight specifications of equipment used to work aloft, candidates cannot exceed 275 pounds, this is inclusive of clothing and with proper footwear
