Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers to design, implement, and manage cloud-native solutions by fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and psychological safety
Lead and mentor development teams in designing and deploying AI-driven solutions on AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance
Lead UI/UX teams by driving the design and implementation of interfaces suitable for clinical personas
Own and evolve enterprise-grade Kubernetes platforms (Amazon EKS), including architecture, multi-tenancy, RBAC, and governance
Architect and manage robust LinkerD or Istio service mesh, ensuring secure, observable, and resilient service-to-service communication
Drive modernization efforts through the design and implementation of GitOps-based CI/CD workflows that enable scalable and secure deployments across hundreds of microservices
Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and enforce operational standards and cloud best practices
Work with System Architects and DevSecOps teams to optimize our AWS environments using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices
Manage budgets and forecasts for cloud spend; implement cost controls and optimization strategies at scale
Stay current with emerging cloud and DevOps technologies and assess their applicability to our environment
Lead by example to drive continuous improvement in system reliability and team practices
Qualification
Required
Deep technical expertise in cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, Istio, and CI/CD practices within AWS
Leadership experience to guide teams managing large-scale, complex, distributed systems
Understanding of servant leadership principles (empathy, team and individual growth, fostering relationships, listening, awareness)
AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) or relevant experience
Experience with observability tools like DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
5 + years in an enterprise software development environment
Proficiency in UI/UX Languages (HTML5, React, TypeScript)
Experience and passion for emerging AI technologies
Preferred
Hands-on experience with AWS AI/ML offerings such as Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker
Familiarity with other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) is a plus
Experience working in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 13485, HIPAA, FedRAMP)
Demonstrated experience in information security with a concentration on DevSecOps culture
