Lead Engineer

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations and preventive maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Maintain clear, proactive communication with internal teams, vendors, and clients
Drive a proactive, reliability-based maintenance approach
Maintain all documentation to support compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations
Manage inventory of tools and materials, coordinate purchasing, and monitor vendor performance
Respond promptly to emergency situations, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical education; or 5–7 years of related experience
Universal CFC Certification; active Refrigeration Technician license preferred
Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC and BMS management systems
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and mentoring skills
Excellent verbal and written communication with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through
Excellent management of email response and follow up timeliness
Excellent level of use of technologies like AI and other tech to help assist in the management of this roles responsibilities
High level of observation skills and critical thinking for all situations, thinking ahead of various key actions to take in any and all situations, especially during and urgent/emergency matter and the ability to follow through in a timely manner
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
Exposure to mechanical environments, noise, electrical hazards, and outdoor conditions
Available to respond to after-hours emergencies

Preferred

active Refrigeration Technician license
