Responsibilities
Conducting in-depth regulatory research related to the marketing, promotion, and sale of alcoholic beverages
Providing legal review of marketing initiatives, advertising materials, promotions, and trade practices, including coupons, sponsorships, sweepstakes, and charitable partnerships
Delivering clear, timely legal guidance to Marketing and Sales teams
Supporting the negotiation and review of marketing, advertising, and sponsorship agreements
Developing and leading training programs that reinforce compliant practices across Marketing and Sales teams
Advising on regulatory pathways for launching in new international markets
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable compliant and fast-paced growth
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate required
Active license to practice law and ability to qualify as in-house counsel in Connecticut
5+ years of experience in a regulatory legal role within the alcoholic beverage industry
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent organizational skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
High level of professionalism, integrity and commitment
Excellent legal and commercial judgment and acumen
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines/priorities
