EV Charging Solution Engineer
Gotion High-Tech is a pioneering force in the global new energy sector, specializing in mobile charging technologies tailored for the North American EV market. The Mobile Charging Solution Engineer will lead R&D efforts to develop innovative charging products, ensuring alignment with technical and business goals while collaborating with cross-functional teams to address production and market challenges.
Responsibilities
Lead the definition of functional and performance requirements for core electronic components (ACDC, DCDC converters) in mobile charging systems, and oversee the entire development lifecycle to ensure alignment with business and technical goals
Conduct in-depth demand analysis, feasibility studies, and schematic design for high-performance, high-power ACDC/DCDC charging products, balancing efficiency, cost, and reliability
Develop high-voltage topological architectures (including DCDC, ACDC, PDU, BDU) and drive end-to-end electronic system integration solutions optimized for U.S. mobile charging scenarios, such as portable energy storage (3kWh-30kWh) and EV fast-charging applications
Manage component selection, functional verification, control strategy development, and communication protocol design (e.g., CAN) for electronic and electrical systems, ensuring seamless interoperability
Pioneer the application of high-performance power semiconductor devices and lead the research, design, and optimization of high-performance magnetic components (inductors, transformers) to enhance charging efficiency
Conduct competitive analysis of U.S. charging market players, monitor trends in North American standards (NACS/SAE J3400, CCS1), identify technical gaps, and lead product iteration to strengthen Gotion’s market position in the Americas
Collaborate cross-functionally with U.S.-based manufacturing (Fremont plant), local quality assurance teams, and North American sales teams to resolve technical issues during production and post-launch, ensuring compliance with U.S. customer requirements and market expectations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or above in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related disciplines
5-8 years of proven experience in R&D of mobile charging solutions, power electronics, or related fields
