Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated Systems Architect to lead design and development efforts for their external customers. The role involves overseeing systems engineering through all phases of product development and serving as a systems architect for avionics solutions.

Responsibilities

Oversee and support systems engineering through all phases of system product development including program pursuit and capture, requirements capture and analysis, system architecture design, requirements allocation and traceability, system verification, system validation and life-cycle product support

Serve as a systems architect for avionics solutions

Navigate through bids & pursuits, adhering to Collins Processes

Lead customer discussions alongside the program chiefs

Occasional domestic travel to customer sites may be required

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Experience with Agile development methodology

Current or prior experience in a Systems or Software Engineering role through all phases of development

Preferred

Prior CAAS/Flight2 Architect Experience

Experience with DARs

Experience doing bids & pursuits

Experience with planning documents

Familiarity with the Rotary Wing Platforms

Prior technical leadership experience
