Senior Manager - Engineering Software

Responsibilities

Build a strategy, lead and manage negotiations for Engineering Software (SW) contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions to the achievement of technical, financial and performance objectives for RTX
Gathering requirements and identifying solutions to achieve desired outcomes
Review, draft, and revise a variety of contracts including software licenses and master agreements
Work closely with internal stakeholders including partnership peers, legal, finance, cyber to align contract terms with company objectives
Manage relationship with suppliers ensuring adherence to agreed terms, quality, and opportunity development
Identify and mitigate potential risks in contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in Engineering software environment

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience in Consulting, Sourcing, Procurement Management with at least 5 years in the Engineering Software environment
In-depth understanding of various types of software licensing models for Engineering Software
Business acumen to connect technical requirements and concerns to contract performance
Demonstrated ability to understand financial information, budgets and program performance and develop strategies and business cases to improve performance in these areas
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Ability to work internally with internal functional service owners in addition to external suppliers; Strong background in negotiating software/SaaS contracts to drive year on year cost savings to help RTX meet its bottom line

Preferred

Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor's Degree with an MBA preferred
Strong project management skills and ability to convert requirements into executable strategies, and ability to develop and manage an integrated master schedule
Ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
Ability to develop effective presentations and documents used for leadership reviews
