IT Infrastructure Intern
Badger Liquor Co., Inc. is seeking an IT Infrastructure Intern to support their infrastructure team in maintaining and improving the company’s network and systems environment. This role offers college students hands-on experience with network management, security, troubleshooting, and technology implementation while working closely with experienced professionals.

Responsibilities
Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, and wireless network components
Assist with monitoring network performance to ensure high availability and reliability
Participate in maintaining network security tools, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
Help troubleshoot network issues, review alerts/logs, and assist in diagnosing performance or connectivity problems
Contribute to planned maintenance activities such as hardware refreshes, software upgrades, and patching
Support backup and disaster recovery processes by helping maintain configuration backups and learning recovery procedures
Observe and assist in responding to network-related incidents and documenting resolutions
Help with vendor coordination, hardware inventories, and preparing equipment for deployment
Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and basic performance reports
Provide support to the technical support team on network-related tickets and connectivity issues
Research emerging technologies and propose improvements aligned with team goals
Collaborate with other departments during system installations, rollouts, or upgrades
Assist with critical infrastructure tasks to help maintain system uptime and productivity
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving technical needs
Must be able to follow direction from experienced IT staff and adhere to company security and compliance standards
Preferred
A strong interest in network infrastructure, systems administration, or cybersecurity
Basic understanding of core networking concepts (IP addressing, routing, switching, DNS, etc.)
Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments
Curiosity, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to analyze issues, review logs, and help identify root causes
Solid communication skills and comfort working as part of a technical team
Attention to detail, especially when documenting systems or updating configurations
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive or secure information appropriately
