Responsibilities
Implement and scale the core economic engine for Waymo's ride-hailing commercial services. This collection of systems manages trip requests; matches right vehicles to riders; calculates the price of rides; positions Waymo’s vehicle for future demands
Developing infrastructure for automatically training and deploying sophisticated optimization and prediction ML models to make real-time decisions for pricing, matching, and positioning
Developing experimentation, monitoring and analysis infrastructure for analyzing ongoing deployed models
Partnering with product data scientists to develop and productionize pricing and matching models for Waymo
Qualification
Required
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
4+ years of experience programming in backend coding languages
Experience in building backend distributed systems
Preferred
Experience in C++
MS in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
Experience in developing low latency, large-scale, user facing distributed systems
Experience in developing machine learning/optimization infrastructure and pipelines
Prior experience building and deploying ML / Optimization models into production environments
Experience at another Ride hailing or Marketplace company
