Rack Decom Manager

Responsibilities
Routinely review ticket queue for large events and address accordingly
Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, project management, coaching and creating documentation
Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, to include emergency projects, change management and maintenance window support, and potential off-hours and on-call needs
Host weekly staff meetings
Guide, train and educate data staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues
Manage a diverse team of technicians with varying skillset to complete tasks and deliverables across small to large-size projects
Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs
Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating absence and vacations
Recruit and train decom technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
Write and deliver performance reviews for leadership staff
Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
2+ years of Information Technology (IT) experience
2+ years of team leadership experience
Preferred
1+ years of data center experience
Experience analyzing metrics to drive business improvements
Experience representing your team or technical area to senior management
Experience organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers
