The role involves handling litigated and non-litigated claims primarily under Auto and General Liability, requiring collaboration with outside counsel and interpretation of coverage.

Responsibilities
Interpret coverage and collaborate with outside counsel in analyzing and resolving claims within designated limits of authority
Investigate, analyze liability and damages exposure, draft and issue coverage position letters, and develop strategies for resolution of litigated and non-litigated claims
Determine probable loss exposure and establish reserves, as well as maintain claim files and documents in accordance with Company policy and procedure
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.)
Minimum five (5) years of relevant legal experience
Intermediate proficiency and experience in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently, managing time and resources to accomplish multiple tasks in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to conduct oneself professionally in varied business settings
Obtain all necessary adjusting licenses within approximately 180 days (or within timeframe directed by management) of your employment
Preferred
Two-plus (2+) years of relevant claims handling preferred
