Zhone Technologies is seeking a Mobile App Validation Engineer who will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining test activities for mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. The role involves ensuring application quality through both manual and automated testing and collaborating with developers to deliver reliable mobile solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications on Android and iOS
Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI/UX testing across multiple devices and operating systems
Conduct manual testing of new features, bug fixes, and app releases
Create, maintain, and run automated test suites using relevant frameworks
Verify application compatibility, responsiveness, and performance under varying network and device conditions
Identify, document, and track software defects using the organization’s issue-tracking system
Collaborate with developers to reproduce and diagnose reported issues
Participate in team ceremonies and contribute to test planning and estimation
Maintain device lab or testing environment
Provide test results and quality metrics to stakeholders
Ensure mobile applications meet accessibility, usability, and security testing

Required

2 – 5 years of experience in mobile application testing (manual and automated)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Strong understanding of mobile application testing principles for Android and iOS
Hands-on experience with test automation tools
Proficiency with issue-tracking and test management tools
Understanding of mobile-specific testing challenges (e.g., OS versions, permissions)
Familiarity with CI/CD integration for automated test execution
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills

Preferred

Experience testing applications built with React Native preferred
