Salesforce Developer, Bureau of IT Application and Platform Engineering
The City of New York is seeking a Senior IT Portfolio Manager to join its innovative technology team in revolutionizing public health IT. The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing new Salesforce solutions and enhancements to existing systems, working closely with business stakeholders to meet their needs.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications
Customize and configure Salesforce applications to meet business needs, including creating custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules
Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems using APIs and middleware
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce applications, ensuring optimal performance and user experience
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, code comments, and user guides
Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices, and implement improvements as necessary
Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for coding, testing, and deployment
Qualification
Required
A baccalaureate degree in computer science, engineering or a related field from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to IT automation engineering, monitoring engineering, management of infrastructure
Eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to IT automation engineering, monitoring engineering, management of infrastructure
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to '1' or '2' above
Preferred
3 years of experience performing customizations and configurations on CRM platforms
At least 5 years of experience developing web applications in C# using MVC, XML, and creating and consuming WCF/REST services/WebAPI
3 years of experience developing .NET plugins using C# and writing JavaScript for customizations
At least 3 years of experience with .NET Framework 3.5 or higher and IIS 7.5 or higher
At least 5 years of experience writing complex queries in T-SQL
At least 3 years of experience developing reports using SSRS
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives within timeline
Experience working with City of New York agencies is a plus but not mandatory
