Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC machines and automation systems on-site across West Coast in a timely and efficient manner
Install, commission, and test CNC machines and associated automation equipment at customer facilities
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity
Conduct machine demonstrations and provide technical expertise during customer visits
Accurately document all service activities, including parts used, labor time, and any technical issues encountered
Provide remote and telephone support to customers for troubleshooting and technical guidance
Qualification
Required
min. 3-5 years experience as a Field Service Engineer/Technician in the CNC or machine tool industry
Strong skills in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and CNC issues
Solid CNC milling knowledge; Heidenhain experience is a plus
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to travel up to 75% domestically
