Landscape Architect Sr (Project Hire/Internal Assignment)
The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect responsible for site analysis, planning, and area development design for theme park attractions. The role involves collaborating with project leaders and stakeholders to produce designs, develop project work at all stages, and ensure integration with allied disciplines.

Responsibilities
Perform landscape architectural duties under the direction of the project lead landscape architect for design and delivery of assigned projects
Support development of project goals/objectives through development of
Actively collaborate with project leaders and stakeholders to produce designs which satisfy creative intent and operational programming
Develop landscape architectural project work at all stages of assigned project lifecycle from concept, feasibility or schematic design through the preparation of construction documentation in accordance with established departmental and divisional quality standards
Ensure that the area development intent is achieved by successfully integrating landscape architectural design with scopes of allied disciplines such as infrastructure, architecture, Show/Ride systems, entertainment, grading/drainage, lighting, graphics, structural engineering, irrigation, etc
Prepare specific deliverables including, but not limited to base sheets, hardscape plans, planting designs, visual intrusion studies, material schedules, etc. Ensures adherence to department/divisional Standards of Practice
May lead a small team of landscape architects and designers in the production of construction documents for attraction(s) of medium complexity through all phases of design
Answer construction bid period questions and respond to and resolve field issues and requests for information
Perform construction observation and contractor engagement for the purpose of quality assurance
Relocate short term domestically and/or internationally to lead work of show design and production teams for all show subject areas involved in assigned project
Qualification
Required
Six or more years in landscape architecture
A minimum of three years managing a team of landscape architects and designers in the production of contract documents for construction
Construction phase experience including the submittal/shop drawing review process and on-site field inspections
Working knowledge and experience in the use of plant and hardscape materials and products for thematic applications
Strong command of AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Land F/X, and Rhino
Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for digital illustration and documentation
Practical experience with BIM tools, such as Autodesk BIM360 and Navisworks
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Demonstrated thoughtful design, artistic skills and professional judgment in solving complex area development problems
Effective written and verbal communication skills
A BLA/BSLA degree from an accredited program
U.S. professional license credential
Preferred
An advanced degree in landscape architecture is desirable
