Responsibilities

Develop and maintain existing security tooling and automation and work with Chrome Product Security to identify any areas of friction in vulnerability management, bug triage, or other operations and devise new tooling or automation to address them

Collaborate with other engineers on the team to create new tools to automate processes

Develop and maintain data analysis tools, dashboards, and reporting of security metrics

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree

2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management)

2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, in relation to data privacy, security systems, or computer and network security

Preferred

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field

Experience with security assessments, vulnerability management, security research, vulnerability investigation or security development life-cycle

Experience with open source software and infrastructure development

Experience in one or more languages (e.g., C++, Python, Rust)

Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering
