The successful candidate will engage in research involving mucin and pathogenic E. coli interactions, RNA silencing in biofilms, and developing predictive models for microbiome interventions.

Responsibilities

Utilize a mucin-on-chip system to identify the interactions between pathogenic E. coli and mucin using various E. coli strains
Investigate sequence-based RNA silencing of bacterial antitoxins in mucin-associated biofilms and investigate its impact on the fitness of the mucin and the microbial counterpart
Engineer predictor models for microbiome interventions on mucin
