Outside Sales Rep

They are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to drive sales growth by promoting and selling energy services and products in the Connecticut and Hudson Valley regions, while building strong relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

Educating current & prospective customers on offered products and energy services to select the best products and services
Meeting with prospective clients while continuing to support creative energy solutions for current clients
Adding new business on a consistent basis by establishing relationships with potential customers
Developing proposals and business growth action plans
Utilizing your proven prospecting and cold calling techniques
Selling and closing sales appointments set by our inside sales professionals
Acquiring and closing referral leads from existing customers and networking partners
Following up with open leads within 24 hours of initial visit
Developing account retention plans to build customer loyalty and to protect customer base from competitive threats
Achieving individual account sales objectives and completing daily logs and weekly reports in a timely manner
Participating in trade shows, conventions and networking events promoting products and services
Working with our customer service professionals you will expedite resolution of any customer issues

Required

A proven record of accomplishment and success in closing sales
A fun, engaging and outgoing professional who possesses very strong consultative selling skills to close sales
Ability, motivation and drive to prospect, generate leads and cultivate referrals for residential and commercial sales
An entrepreneurial, goals based mindset who can effectively develop and foster business relationships
Demonstrated success in handling high dollar-sales transactions and large bids
Exceptional communication, networking, organizational, time-management and negotiation skills
Possess a reliable motor vehicle, valid drivers' license with clean driving record
The ability to travel extensively throughout Connecticut and Hudson Valley, New York
Be available to work and accessible at all times to develop relationships with accounts

Preferred

Field sales experience is highly preferred, as this role requires ability to travel within assigned local territory
