Responsibilities

Serves as Director of the Recreation Branch. Develops, maintains, plans, and administers Recreation programs, activities, and facilities
Within the established Community Recreation Division (CRD) policies and objectives, manages and develops plans for Recreational Program (e.g., Special Events, Recreation Center, Leisure Travel Services, Library, Auto Crafts, and BOSS)
Plans and coordinates the details of recurring and nonrecurring activities, special events, and joint community undertakings
Ensures that program emphasis is on those activities of major participant interest and income generation potential. Develops annual budget requirements with supporting data for inclusion in the CRD budget
Coordinates all recreation programs with other activities in the planning, use, and administration of fees, facility usage, and program timing

Required

Directly related progressive work experience directing one or more recreation programs that provided knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation and an understanding of the interest of individuals or groups and managerial experience of the caliber described above
Experience must have been equivalent to the next lower pay level
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
A one-year probationary period may be required
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R
