Supervisory Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Specialist
The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) is a federal agency dedicated to collecting excise taxes on alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and ammunition. The Supervisory Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Specialist will be responsible for developing policies and executing revenue programs to ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute a broad-based revenue program to analyze operational reports from industry, determine compliance with regulations, and collect taxes
Develop policies pertaining to tax program areas. Determine and resolve complex and sensitive issues to implement alcohol, tobacco, and firearms policies
Plan and conduct internal reviews and analyses of NRC tax program to see if there are areas where improvements can be made
Lead team efforts to review Bureau tax programs aimed at improvement of efficiency and internal controls that ensure mission objectives are met

Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
For the GS-15: One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, including supervising or overseeing programs relating to Internal Revenue Code requirements, developing policies relating to tax program areas, recommending and executing strategic plans required to meet program goals and objectives, and planning and conducting internal reviews, analyses, and risk assessments of revenue programs
For the GS-14: One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, including assisting with supervising or overseeing programs relating to Internal Revenue Code requirements, developing or executing policies relating to tax program areas, recommending or executing strategic plans required to meet program goals and objectives, and planning or conducting internal reviews, analyses, and risk assessments of revenue programs
Time-in-grade requirement: For the GS-15, must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks; for the GS-14, must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment
