Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of OHS programs and initiatives for Lenovo’s North American (NA) office and lab environments (multisite)
Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, WSIB, etc.), including reporting requirements
Conduct risk assessments, develop safety procedures, help to facilitate and conduct safety training and OHS audits, and drive awareness campaigns
Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions
Support OHS aspects of customer or other audits of or inquiries about Lenovo’s North American office and lab locations
Evaluate equipment used onsite and develop safe work practices and training
Act as NA’s RSO (Radiation Safety Officer) and manage NA’s sites’ chemical management program
Collaboration with ISO Certification Program Managers for awareness, feedback and support of site commitments in alignment with OHS management system framework
Promote a culture of safety and ethical behavior across the organization including responsibility for all required and appropriate safety posters and postings at each site
Develop and maintain policy and compliance policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with local and federal laws as well as external commitments and customer requirements
Monitor legislative changes and recommend policy updates accordingly
Develop global policies to support RBA and customer code of conduct requirements related to OHS
Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure policy adherence
Deliver training sessions on OHS compliance requirements and safety protocols
Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns related to OHS compliance and safety
Collaborate with site lab teams to highlight OHS best practices and continual improvement opportunities
Managing incident reporting systems, analyzing data to identify trends and implement corrective actions
Tracks accident, first aid trends with insurance providers and systems
Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, safety incidents, and training, including but not limited to completion and maintenance of OSHA forms 300, 300a and 301 as applicable at each site
Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies as required
Respond to HR Policy Compliance audit requirements, customer and rating surveys
Report audit and assessment information on a planned schedule to record results. Record and share results of assessments to identify trends and improve awareness across teams and locations
Support implementation of Lenovo and Customer Code of Conduct requirements related to OHS at North America sites
Support evaluation of global ecolabel and other third party and customer commitments
Support customer and other external audits of OHS and related programs at North America sites and support customer inquiries about these programs
Oversee vendor management to help facilitate OHS related requirements
Collaborate with internal Lenovo stakeholders

Required

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health Safety or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in an OHS compliance or similar role

Preferred

Proven ability to interpret and apply complex legal and regulatory frameworks to internal policies and operational practices
Certification in OHS (e.g., CRSP, CHSC, ISO 45001) is a strong asset
Certifications in other ISO standards is also a plus (e.g., ISO 9001/14001/50001)
Experience with ergonomics a benefit
Certified RSO (radiation safety officer), or willing to complete certification within 90 days of joining Lenovo
Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving skills and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
ISO 45001 or similar management system experience preferred
Experience responding to third party audits and conducting internal audits focused on OHS compliance
